Players from around the world flocked to online tournament poker this Sunday with noted pros Bryn Kenney and Sam Chartier both recording big wins.

Also making news was Brazilian Gabriel “gabriel171” Otranto, the day’s biggest winner. Otranto took the biggest part of a four-way chop in the Sunday Million and finished second in the Sunday 500.

PokerStars Sunday Million

The Sunday Million was in full swing on PokerStars this week with 6,899 players pooling their funds to create a prize pool of $1,379,800.

After more than 12 hours of play the final four players reached a deal with Brazilian Gabriel “gabriel171” Otranto taking $149,496, the biggest part of the four-way chop.

Amazingly, Otranto also recorded a second-place finish yesterday in the Sunday 500, pocketing $56,000.

PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up ($500k Gtd)

3,585 players bought into this week’s Warm-Up, creating a prize pool of $717,000.

Ultimately it came down to a three-way deal that awarded $83,683 to eventual winner raulbcn of the UK, $93,000 to runner-up 3591omanyd of Germany and $78,926 to the creatively-named 942003 of Switzerland.

Ana Marquez posted a few small cashes, but was likely cheering her boyfriend Bryn Kenney on to victory.

Also making runs were Jose “nachobarbero” Barbero (14th), former WCOOP champion Tim “Calvin32” Sullivan (34th) and Team PokerStars Pro player Ana Marquez (95th).

PokerStars Sunday 500 ($250k Gtd)

The Sunday 500 smashed its quarter-million guarantee and put together a $394,500 prize pool thanks to the 789 who participated.

After outlasting a tough final table that included Vincent “Vingtcent” van der Fluit and Dani “supernova9” Stern, a deal was struck heads-up between Paul “pvas2” Nunes and Brazilian player gabriel171.

Nunes ended up coming out on top, taking $66,235, while Gabriel “gabriel171” Otranto pocketed $56,059.

Also cashing in this event were Mickey “mement_mori” Petersen (18th), APPT Grand Final winner Jonathan MONSTER_DONG Karamalikis (30th) and Sam “aaajack” Chartier (37th).

PokerStars $109+R Sunday Rebuy ($299k Gtd)

High-stakes pro Bryn Kenney notched a win in this $200k Guarantee rebuy event, pocketing $59,570.

Kenney, an Amercian, is playing from Spain post-Black Friday which makes sense considering he’s dating Spanish Team PokerStars Pro player Ana Marquez.

Kenney defeated a field of 1,012, ultimately besting Brazil’s pabritz who received $43k and change for runner-up.

The Bigger $109 ($100k Gtd)

Noted online and live poker professional Sam Chartier booked his biggest win ever under his aaajacks account on PokerStars yesterday in the Bigger $109.

Chartier, who has live results in excess of $1 million and online tournament earnings now totaling $1.35 million, defeated 2,982 players to take down the $48,308 first-place prize.

Chartier defeated fellow Canadian lumistacken who received $35,038 for second.
