'The Master' is unstoppable at Legends

All you can eat, baby!
Say what you will about Men "The Master" Nguyen, the guy knows how to win a poker tournament in L.A.
Last week Nguyen took down the $300 No-Limit Hold'em event for $65,700. Then, two days later, he added another first-place finish in $500 Omaha Hi-Lo for $20,000. The No-Limit event drew 253 players, while Nguyen had to get through 112 in Omaha Hi-Lo.
Nguyen is well-known for his success playing poker in the City of Angels - if you look up his tournament results in L.A., you will see pages of final tables and over 39 first-place finishes.
The poker world has become well-acquainted with Nguyen's story of personal triumph against the odds: he left Vietnam in 1978 to come to the United States, and eventually hit it big at the green felt.
It's been a pretty good year for the Nguyen family, as Men's wife Van won the WPT Invitational event becoming, arguably, the first female WPT winner.
The 2008 edition of Legends already had one famous winner in Barbara Enright, who won the $300 Ladies Event.
The grand finale of the series, which takes place entirely at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles, will be the 2008 $9,500+$500 WPT Legends of Poker.
Last year Tom Schneider, David Pham and Dan Harrington all made the final before "Action" Dan eventually outlasted "The Dragon" to take down a first-place prize of $1.6 million.
The PokerListings.com tournament reporting crew will be on location, so remember to check out the action in our live tournaments section starting this coming Saturday.
