The Grand grows at Hollywood Poker

Poker players got a taste of how good a supersized The Grand tournament could be when it was boosted to $1 million. Now Hollywood Poker has announced that The Grand will once again return to million-dollar glory this month.

The Grand tournament takes place at the end of each month and uses a three-day flight structure. Players have the option to play on either Day 1 or Day 2 in order to get into the third day of play.

The buy-in is $1,000+$40, and players will start with a $10,000 chip stack. During the tournament, blinds will go up every 30 minutes.

Players who don't have the bankroll for a direct buy-in can choose from several methods of winning their way in. There are seven daily qualifiers available at Hollywood Poker, two of which are exclusive Grand qualifiers with buy-ins of $50+$4 and $150+$12.

"We bring online poker players yet another great opportunity to win big. The Grand has been a longtime favorite here at the site, and now with the payout raised to a generous $1 million, we're sure it will surpass expectations again!" said Vince Van Patten, Hollywood Poker spokesperson.

This month the tournament is scheduled for Aug. 29-31.

There's still time for players to get registered on the site and work their way into The Grand. Those who register through a PokerListings.com link also have access to some exclusive promotions.

Not only does Hollywood Poker offer a $750 sign-up bonus at 1,000% deposit match for PokerListings.com players, it is also offering them an exclusive, weekly $1,000 London Live freeroll series.

The London Live freerolls take place every Saturday at 5 p.m. until Sept. 6. New first-time depositors receive instant entry, and existing players only need to earn 50 points in the week prior to each freeroll to qualify.

The freeroll includes $500 in cash spread through the prize pool, plus first place wins a $300+$20 ticket to the $24,000 London Live Main Event Package Online Finals. Four $30+$3 London Live qualifier tickets are also awarded to finishers in second through fifth place.
