By: Lianne Elias

Team Brunson, a group of players comprised of some of the poker circuit's top pros, was introduced to the poker world during the 2006 World Series of Poker at the Rio All-Suites Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas this month.

Captain Todd Brunson, know for his extraordinary skill in high stakes cash games and for being the son of poker legend Doyle Brunson, is said to have personally handpicked each of the eleven team members.

Team Brunson is scheduled to compete in every televised WSOP event and consists of both seasoned veterans and the game's freshest faces, including Cyndy Violette, Max Pescatori, Hoyt Corkins, David Levi, Sam Grizzle, Dewey Tomko, Jennifer Leigh, Marco Traniello, Jeffrey Freedman and Thomas Franklin. So far, Violette, Traniello and Tomko have placed in the money at this year's WSOP.

Team Brunson will be hosting meet-and-greet sessions for fans at Doyle's Hospitality Lounge at the Rio throughout the WSOP.
