Swedish student wins seat in Titan Poker $1 million tournament
By Sarah Polson
Simon Leetsaar, from Sweden, was the third player to qualify for the Tournament Titan at Titan Poker. The Tournament Titan is a Sit and Go tournament that will only have 20 players competing for part of a $1 million guaranteed prize pool.
Leetsaar, 28, won his seat in the tournament by making three consecutive final table finishes. He made the final table in the Titan Poker $2,000 Guaranteed Prize Freezout and at two of the $5,000 Guaranteed tournaments in three days.
"Reaching the Tournament Titan is absolutely the biggest thing that has ever happened to me," Leetsaar said. "I am so very delighted, and I cannot thank you enough for giving me the opportunity to play in this great tournament."
Titan Poker started the Tournament Titan promotion to find the world's best and most consistent poker tournament player. To qualify for the final tournament, a player has to make three consecutive final tables in any of the poker room's regularly scheduled participating tournaments.
The participating daily tournaments have $5 + 50¢ or $10 + $1 buy-ins. Players can also qualify through the $15,000 Guaranteed tournament with a $30 + $3 buy-in on Fridays, the $15,000 GP Freezeout with a $50 + $5 buy-in on Saturdays, and the $25,000 Guaranteed tournament with a $100 + $9 buy-in on Sundays.
