Liv Boeree was one of two $50 bounties that PokerStars threw into the Women’s Sunday event last night.

The other bounty, Celina Lin, would bust in the first hour of play but Boeree simply refused to give hers up as she navigated her way through a 227-player field and took first place for $2,321.

Although it was a relatively modest prizepool compared to the bigger Sunday tournaments, it wasn’t exactly a surprise that Boeree won as she’s been running hot in online poker for the last few weeks.

Boeree made the money in the Sunday Warm-Up for the last two consecutive weeks and also recorded a minor cash in the Sunday Million so she seemed due for some sort of online victory.

Boeree also cashed in this week's Sunday Million, which saw 6,525 players pay the $215 to play the biggest weekly online tournament in the world.

Boeree escaped with a min-cash while some of her fellow Team PokerStars Pro members had deep runs including Fatima de Melo (275th) and Richard Toth (127th).

In the end no one could stop DaGoddfather from taking the biggest chunk of the $1.3 million prizepool.

DaGoddfather beat dan82mur heads-up and took down the $163k first place prize. Dan82mur had to settle for a $156k consolation prize.

PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up

Meanwhile it was yet another busy day for the Sunday Warm-Up, which ended up attracting 3,351 players.

There were plenty of Team PokerStars Pros who made it into the money including Vicky Coren, Javier Dominguez and Lex Veldhuis but unfortunately none were able to crack the final 100.

In the later stages of the tournament Argentinean marcotorino pulled away from the rest of the pack and entered the final table as the massive chip leader.

He essentially went wire-to-wire and after stomping Astor626 heads-up, secured the first place prize and $105,222. Astor626 took home $78k.
