Stan Weiss wins WPT Mirage Poker Showdown

Pro player Stan Weiss championed a field of 383 players to take first place at the World Poker Tour (WPT) Mirage Poker Showdown in Las Vegas on May 17, 2006. Weiss, a resident of Nashville, Tenn., was awarded $1,294,755 of the $3,724,800 total prize pool.
Weiss defeated fellow pros Harry Demetriou, David Williams, David Singer, and Alan Goehring at the 9-player final table. Other pros who finished in the money include Hasan Habib, Eli Elezra, Eric Mizrachi, John Juanda, Kristy Gazes, Casey Kastle, Jason Lester, Joe Cassidy, and Minh Nguyen.
