South vs. Sahamies: South Adds $128k
One of the most frequent heads-up match-ups of 2010 saw its latest installment last night with Cole South coming out on top of Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies again.
South's day started at $200/$400 Cap Pot-Limit Omaha where he made just over $40k before moving on to a few hundred hands of $25/$50 PLO.
With another $21k in his roll, South then returned to the Cap game, making another $26,885 from 125 hands.
After a few hundred more hands of PLO, ranging in stakes from $25/$50 to $200/$400, South finally settled into a heads-up match with familliar rival Sahamies, beginning the session up $48,773 on the day.
After 526 hands, South had won all three of the largest pots, the biggest coming in at $227,992.
Thanks to dominating the largest pots in the session, South finished the match up $128,539. This latest win puts him up $786,986 against Sahamies since early 2008.
At the time of publication, South had lost back $19,602 to the Cap game, putting him up $157,710 on the day.
Sahamies, who had lost $65,459 at the $200/$400 Cap game before playing South, finished his day down $194,106.
