Sneak a peek at FTOPS XII
Full Tilt Poker has another round of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series up its sleeve, and we've got a little preview of what's to come.
A Full Tilt Poker representative told PokerListings the FTOPS XII will take place May 6-17, and will include 25 tournaments this time around.
Plus the poker site will run a Mini FTOPS series as well with buy-ins about a tenth of those of the FTOPS events.
Full Tilt Poker is still tight-lipped on what kind of guaranteed prize pools will be offered this time around, what the buy-ins are or who the celebrity hosts will be, but it's likely all will be revealed when they release the schedule Wednesday.
The previous installment of the FTOPS also featured 25 events and totaled $15 million in guaranteed prize pools.
Among the guarantees there were two events with a $1 million guarantee each, plus two events with $1.5 million guaranteed and a $2 million guaranteed event. The main event of the series also had a $2.5 million guaranteed prize pool.
The FTOPS is known for getting bigger and better with each series, so the question is how will Full Tilt Poker make it special this time around?
With the same number of events as the last go-round, perhaps there's potential for even more guaranteed money this time. Or maybe the Mini FTOPS will have some impressive guarantees as well.
Check back to PokerListings News on Wednesday, and we'll give you the skinny on the schedule and any other details Full Tilt Poker releases on the FTOPS XII.
