Slain poker pro's wife indicted for murder
By Sarah Polson
Jill Rockcastle was indicted Wednesday on charges of murder in the death of her 44-year-old poker pro husband William Gustafik. She is due for arraignment on those charges May 31.
Rockcastle is accused of stabbing her husband to death in his Las Vegas condominium in April. The charges allege it was pre-meditated murder and a conviction could get her life in prison.
Gustafik's body was discovered April 13 after police received an anonymous phone tip and went to his condo. He had been stabbed several times.
Rockcastle was suspected in the death and had disappeared. She was found three days later unconscious in a motel room in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
According to the police, she sent e-mail confessions to friends and left a note in a car for her children. She then overdosed on medication at the motel.
After being hospitalized, she was extradited from California to Nevada where she is being held without bail.
