Six amateurs make final table for $500,000 ActionPoker.com Shoot-Out

By Christopher Hunt

One of six amateur players from ActionPoker.com is going to walk away with all of this on Dec. 1: the title of International Man of Action, bragging rights for their home country and, most importantly, $200,000.

London will play host to the international cast of qualifiers as they vie for top spot at the final table of the ActionPoker.com $500,000 Poker Shoot-Out, the largest prize ActionPoker.com has ever awarded.

The tournament will be recorded live and televised in the spring on SKY Cable's PokerZone channel. All the poker action will also be available a few weeks following the live event at ActionPoker.com.

The six - two from Finland, two from Canada, one from the U.K. and one from El Salvador - all qualified through an online freeroll satellite, so it will be the first time many of the players have played for high stakes live, with the added pressure of playing in front of the TV cameras.

First place takes $200,000, with the runners-up sharing $170,000. The player's profiles, personal blogs and results can be seen on their home sites, TigerGaming.com and ActionPoker.com.
