PokerListings.com and Pacific Poker teamed up on Sunday to offer players a $5,000 freeroll. The result was SidMynrd taking down his first multi-table tournament win.

The freeroll brought together 70 players, all hoping to take home a piece of the $5,000 pie. For his first-place finish, SidMynrd won $1,500.

According to SidMynrd, the freeroll win was his first and biggest tournament win so far. Not from lack of trying, though. He's on Pacific Poker about twice a week checking out the tables and trying his luck.

"There are very loose games and lots of action," SidMynrd said. "The software is good, very fast and no problems."

He's also a regular visitor to PokerListings.com, checking out the site about once a week.

"It's a great site," he said. "The new table search is a great service."

The real-time table finder allows players to search for the type of game and type of action they're looking for at the poker sites. Then all they have to do is click on the live link to get to the game they want.

When SidMynrd isn't checking out poker information or playing in the game of his choice online, he works as a researcher and spends time with his wife and 18-month-old daughter. The Brighton, U.K., resident also has another child on the way, so he may have to cut back a little on his poker time.

He's been playing poker for two years now, and was drawn to the game because of his love of competition and the bonus of winning money.

With his latest winning, SidMynrd said he plans to treat his family to something nice.
