Shooting Star Maria Ho Makes WPT Bay 101 Final Table
Maria Ho must really, really like her Shooting Star bounty t-shirt at at the 2016 WPT Bay 101.
The noted Cali pro is the last bounty left in the tournament and became one of the few Shooting Stars to make the final table last night.
Ho finished with 3,000,000 chips after Day 3, which is good enough for third overall. She trails chip leader Stefan Schillhabel with 8.7 million and Griffin Paul with 5.2 million.
Here's a look at the complete chip counts heading into the final table:
- Stefan Schillhabel – 8,720,000
- Griffin Paul – 5,205,000
- Maria Ho – 3,115,000
- Adam Geyer – 2,030,000
- Andjelko Andrejevic – 1,985,000
- Bryan Piccioli – 1,535,000
Geyer, Piccioli Highlight Stacked Final Table
Maria Ho certainly has her work cut out for her as the final table is stacked with pros.
Adam Geyer has $1.7m in lifetime live tournament earnings including seven WPT cashes.
Bryan Piccioli has over $1m in earnings and a WSOP bracelet.
Finally Andjelko Andrejevic isn’t quite as established as the other players at the final table but he did finish seventh at the WPT Borgata Poker Open and third at WPT Maryland. A win at Bay 101 would actually push him into the lead for Player of the Year.
It was a tough day for Alex Rocha, Ankush Mandavia and Anthony Gregg who all made the final 10 but busted just before the final table.
Ho could break a couple impressive records at Bay 101 if she goes on to win. She would become the first Shooting Star to win the event. In addition she would be the first female player to win an open WPT event.
The final table begins at 4 p.m. PT today and you can follow along through the WPT live updates.
