The Aussie Millions is under way in Melbourne with a star-studded playing field that includes pros, online qualifiers and celebrities. One celebrity in attendance who's gaining more credibility as a poker pro is Shannon Elizabeth, who is representing Mansion Poker at the felt.

Shannon Elizabeth will make her debut at the Aussie Millions main event Tuesday, where she will compete for a shot at the $1 million guaranteed first-place prize while wearing the Mansion Poker logo.

The movie American Pie first brought the actress into the public eye in 1999. While most people still think of Elizabeth as the foreign exchange student in that movie, she's been quietly building credibility in the poker realm.

In 2006 she had three cashes at the World Series of Poker and in 2007 she competed in the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championships, where she proved her skills by coming in third place amongst a wealth of world-renowned pros.

She took down Barry Greenstein, Jeff Madsen and Humberto Brenes before losing a hard-fought battle with Paul Wasicka to finish the NHUPC in third. She carried that success into the 2007 World Series of Poker where she cashed in the $2,000 No-Limit Hold'em event.

Also joining Elizabeth in Australia as part of the Mansion Poker team are pro Marc Goodwin and online qualifier grass3, from Cheshire, England.

Goodwin played in the first Day 1 of the Aussie Millions main event and was unable to make it through the day. He went out just after the dinner break, but he doesn't go home empty-handed after catching a 10th-place cash finish in the $1,100 Limit Hold'em event.

He'll be around to sweat Elizabeth and grass3 from the rails when they begin play today. grass3 won his way to the Aussie Millions by taking down the Aussie Millions New Player Freeroll at Mansion Poker. Perhaps he'll be able to turn his free trip into $1 million cash.
