The fifth annual European i-Gaming (EiG) Congress & Expo scheduled for Oct. 11 through 13 in Barcelona, Spain, will include several keynote speakers from big players in both the operator and supplier sides of the online gambling industry.
Some of the senior executives from operators scheduled to speak are Mitch Garber, PartyGaming, Plc. CEO; Jon Anderson, 888.com CEO; and Douglas Roos, CEO of Ladbrokes. From the supplier side comes Roger Raatgever, Microgaming CEO, and Michael Starzynski, CryptoLogic chief technology officer among others.
"The EiG Congress is the most important industry event as regards Europe," Anderson said. "It's a great opportunity to meet all the industry leaders and keep in touch with the latest technology, ideas and opportunities."
Organizers are projecting attendance for the conference at around 1,000 people from more than 25 countries to discuss the industry and check out the more than 50 exhibitors expected to attend the Expo.
This year's hot topic on the agenda will most likely be the discussions about legal and regulatory frameworks for the industry. With the legislation making its way through the U.S. government as well as the recent arrests and indictments of people involved with BetonSports, Plc., the conference will give industry representatives a chance to talk and express their reactions and concerns.
"Online delegates have an excellent opportunity to hear from and meet other operators and regulators from across the industry and around the world," Garber said. "Networking is of paramount importance in any industry, and EiG is a truly valuable event for online gaming."
