Never one to oversell, the poker room is heralding the event as a David vs. Goliath match-up that pits one of its resident online pros against the winner of its Open Final April 7 for a $2,000 payday.

RiverRicki is actually Ricki Nielsen, a 23-year-old professional poker player from Denmark. Nielson earned his current sponsorship from the site after winning a seat to the 2006 World Series of Poker at and placing 35th in the Main Event.

Starting today, players at can compete in daily qualifiers to the Open Final. The qualifying events run until April 6 at 8:30 p.m. (CEST) for a $4.75 buy-in; tickets to the April 7 final go to the top two players.

The site also offers direct buy-ins for $50+$4, where the top 10 winners all receive prizes.

The winner of the Open Final receives a ticket to an upcoming World Series of Poker qualifier and then, the following day, will stare down RiverRicki in heads-up for $2,000.

Second and third place cash one $650+$ live qualifier ticket and fourth through 10th place earns players a range of cash prizes.
