Seidel Leading After Epic Mix Max Day 1

Erik Seidel leads the pack after Day 1 of the latest Epic Poker League main event, the $20k Mix Max, that kicked off at the Palms in Las Vegas earlier today.

Seidel bagged up 223,000 in chips to take a 20k lead over second-place Scott Clements (203,400) heading into Day 2 tomorrow.

Following closely behind are Vanessa Selbst (159,000), Brock Parker (155,600), David Williams (155,400), Matt Glantz (148,799) and McLean Karr (139,300).

Yesterday's open-field $2k Turbo champ Mike “SirWatts” Watson is also near the top of the leaderboard with 112,000.

The $20k Mix Max - the third event on the EPL schedule this year - drew exactly 100 entries to the Palms today and 61 made it through the day with chips.

Notable bustees today included Adam Levy, Allen Bari, Andrew Robl, Antonio Esfandiari, Bertrand "ElkY” Grospelier, Chris Moorman, Doyle Brunson, Sam Trickett and Matt Marafioti.

Poker legend Brunson was awarded his lifetime Epic Poker League card prior to the start of the day and announced the ceremonial shuffle up and deal.

The remaining 61 players will return to the Palms tomorrow at noon for Day 2.

With 100 players and $400,000 added to the coffers by the EPL, the official prize pool is $2,360,000.
