Does Scotty Nguyen have a tournament for you, baby. The poker pro's eponymous $1 million challenge runs May 17-30 in Catoosa, Okla., and satellites are underway soon.

The Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge III is coming to the Cherokee Casino Resort for a multi-tournament and workshop affair featuring a final day challenge for mega cash and a seat at the World Series of Poker Main Event.

Activities leading up to the final day includes both tournaments and instruction in Texas Hold'em, Seven-Card Stud, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo in No-Limit, Limit and Pot-Limit varieties.

The challenge's prize pool is an expected $1 million. But the main event winner will earn more than a little cash: Also on the line is a $30,000 gold bracelet encrusted with diamonds and rubies, designed by Nguyen for his namesake tournament.

Single-table satellites as well as super and mega satellite events run each weekend beginning March 31. Daily super and mega satellites go from May 17-27. Buy-ins range from $45-$540.

Last year's Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge drew 4,000 players and was taken down by pro Nam Le, who pocketed more than $200,000 and the championship bracelet.

In addition to tournament action, the casino is also offering two player workshops hosted by Nguyen and his poker peer Clonie Gowen. The World Poker Tour Boot Camp runs May 19-20 and will consist of live play, hands-on labs, lecture and examples using WPT footage.

At the end of the workshop, participants will compete in a multi-table tournament; first prize for winning the event is a satellite seat to a WPT main event.

Linda Johnson will also host a Ladies' Poker Workshop May 24 prior to the women's tournament.
