Scott hosts Aussie Millions qualifier this weekend

To win a seat at the Aussie Millions you'll have to outlast the 2009 winner Stewart Scott.

Stewart Scott is giving PartyPoker players the chance to follow in his footsteps by qualifying for the 2010 Aussie Millions.

The Stewart Scott High Roller Aussie Millions Invitational is set to take place on PartyPoker this Sunday at 3:05 ET with the winner taking down a $12,000 Aussie Millions package.

PartyPoker will also award a $640 seat in the PartyPoker Aussie Millions final qualifier to whoever manages to knock out Scott.

"I'm excited in the anticipation of the Stewart Scott High Roller Invitational at PartyPoker.com," said defending Aussie Millions champ Scott.

"There will be some of Australia's finest onliners, particularly from Adelaide and New South Wales, competing for an awesome package to the Aussie Millions - the richest tournament in the Southern Hemisphere. It's a great opportunity to qualify and you can almost triple your money by claiming my bounty while you're at it."

Despite the title of the event, registration is open to anyone who buys in for $270.

PartyPoker will have a strong presence at the 2010 Aussie Millions with two more large qualifiers scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009.

One will be timed to suit Australian and New Zealand-based players with five $12,000 Aussie Millions packages guaranteed while the other satellite will give players from the rest of the world a chance to win one of 20 guaranteed packages worth $15,000 each.

In addition, there will be a number of smaller Stewart Scott Aussie Millions special tournaments that take place on a bi-weekly basis.
