Satellites to Sweden at Everest Poker

Everest Poker is tapping into Sweden's love affair with poker by cutting its players in on some of the country's best live tournament action.

Starting March 6, the poker room will offer a series of satellites for seats to the upcoming Swedish Poker Championship.

The $1,400 buy-in tournament is the official event of the Swedish Poker Federation and aims to crown the best poker player in the country.

Any Everest Poker player can compete in a satellite to the event, which takes place April 9-15 at the Reval Park Hotel & Casino Tallinn in Estonia.

"We're very eager to send players to this event," said the site's property manager, Jonathan May, in a release. "It's in a really unique location and I'm sure our players are going to enjoy the atmosphere that a longer tournament like this offers."

To play, Everest customers can compete in the site's Daily Bronze Token freeroll tournaments to qualify for the weekly main event and daily satellites. The satellites are $11+$1, with re-buy events offered at $3+30¢.

The weekly main event, held over the weekend, is a direct entry tournament priced at $100+$9.
