Known for high-stakes online cash games, this marks Kelopuro's biggest MTT score.

The main event of the 2011 PokerStars SCOOP is over and renowned Finnish high-stakes pro Sami “Lrslzk” Kelopuro is champion.

Known for nose-bleed stakes and million-dollar swings, Kelopuro has had a few close calls in live tournaments, including deep runs on the EPT and Partouche Poker Tour totaling over $234,000. This win marks his biggest MTT score to date.

This SCOOP main event was a $10,300 buy-in event that drew a field of 380, building a prize pool of $3.8 million that far exceeded the $2.5 million guarantee. 45 players would get paid with the eventual winner earning $735,000.

The tournament began on Sunday, taking the place of PokerStars’ regularly scheduled Sunday Million, and wasn’t finished until the following evening when Kelopuro defeated German player Tagult heads-up to become the 2011 SCOOP champion.

As the field was whittled down on Day 1 big names like ElkY, Isildur1, Liv Boeree and JP Kelly were eliminated. Notable finishes in the money but short of the final table included Team PokerStars Pros Nacho Barbero and Joe Hachem finishing in 34th and 11th place, respectively.

The final table of nine included two 2011 SCOOP title winners, as well as 2010 EPT Vilamoura winner Toby “810ofclubs” Lewis.

After four eliminations the remaining five players agreed to a chop that saw Kelapuro take $504,691. Despite losing heads-up and missing out on the title, Germany’s Tagult walked away the biggest winner, pocketing $540,125.

Here are the final table payouts, reflecting the five-way chop:
