Sahamies Thrashes Moirhums for $177k
Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies gave online poker player moirhums a world class beat down on PokerStars last night.
The aggressive Finn turned on the volume and recorded over 1,000 hands of $50/$100 PLO, nearly every hand against French poker pro Romain “moirhum” Arnaud.
Sahamies was unstoppable last night and ended up crushing moirhum over six tables including one where he earned $72k. Eventually Sahamies finished with $177k in profit.
It was a fortunate victory for the Finnish pro as he was down more than $800k on PokerStars prior to last night’s action.
Sahamies, who plays on PokerStars as Ilari_FIN, is one of the few iconic players left that used to dominate cash games on Full Tilt Poker but now frequents PokerStars.
Meanwhile moirhum may disappear for a while as it appears he spun his bankroll up to $138k over the last few months but busted most, if not all, of it last night.
Sahamies was not the only player to score big last night as online player doncarignano, who won a SCOOP event earlier this year for $122k, added to his bankroll with a $54k victory in the $25/$50 PLO games.
The controversial Phil “takechip” D’Auteuil was also one of the biggest winners last night as he cruised his way to a $51k payday.
Kanu7 (+$45k) and H@??INGGOL (+$30k) also made it into the top five online poker earners.
On the losing side were lohoed (-$55k), peitelanco (-$47k), compris (-$42k) and jumper17 (-$38k).
Viktor “Isildur1” Blom, who had been logging an insane amount of hands lately, finally decided to take a break yesterday and was not active on the site.
