Rui Cao Dominates PokerStars
Rui Cao relentlessly crushed his opponents on Full Tilt last week but last night he turned his attention to PokerStars.
With many top-name online pros still missing due to the EPT Grand Final, Cao has had his run of the high stakes online games and he took on tkala at $50/$100 PLO.
Cao, who plays on PokerStars as PepperoniF, recorded 1,541 hands against tkala and utterly dominated the relatively unknown player to win $65,088.
Although Cao primarily plays on Full Tilt, he has managed to win $555,000 through 18,632 hands on PokerStars this year. Add that to the $950,000 he amassed on Full Tilt and Rui Cao is easily one of the biggest overall winners this year with over $1.5 million in profit.
Meanwhile KidPoker705, who is not Daniel Negreanu, was the biggest winner on Full Tilt pulling in $56,000 in 1,596 hands. The win lifted KidPoker705 into the black for one of the first times this year.
Right behind KidPoker705 was fan favorite XWINK who picked up $37k in 424 hands on Full Tilt.
XWINK, who is renowned for his massive online poker swings, has been steadily re-building his bankroll since losing $1 million in one day earlier this year.
It might be easier for XWINK this time around considering there’s a better chance he won’t run into a red-hot Phil Ivey.
Samrostan on Full Tilt was last night’s biggest loser, burning a total of $81k in heads-up $100/$200 No-Limit Hold’em.
Tkala, who was likely regretting taking on Rui Cao, was the biggest loser on PokerStars, dropping $65k.
Some of the other notable players to slip into the red last night included FinnishNightmre (-$26k), Himan33 (-$17k) and takechip (-$11k).
