Ruberto Rolls to WPT Jacksonville Final Six

WPT glory

Veteran grinder Anthony Ruberto has steamrolled his way to a huge chip lead entering the final table at WPT Jacksonville today.

Ruberto’s stack sits at a massive 4,500,000 in chips - a full 2 million ahead of his closest competitor - and he looks to have a stranglehold on what would be his first major title as they head into Day 6 in Florida.

Known as “Boston Tony,” Ruberto plays out of Florida but has countless tourney scores on the east coast circuit. His biggest score to date is a runner-up finish at the 2010 WPT Fall Poker Open at the Seminole Hard Rock for $275,242.

With 393 runners, the WPT Jacksonville stop created a prize pool of $1,277,250 and top prize will pay out $325,928.

Second in chips at the final table will be Day 3 chip leader Vitor Coelho, who survived Day 5 with 2,570,000.

2009 WSOP Ladies champion Lisa Hamilton and online grinder Darryll Fish will be the marquee names at the table with Hamilton in third at 1.9 million and Fish the short stack at 640k.

Sam Soverel (1,432,00) and Artie Rodriguez (797,000), the third Club WPT member to make a WPT final table, round out the final six.

Matt Ezrol was the unfortunate final-table bubble boy, busting out in seventh and missing out on the televised finale.

Notable pros who cashed but busted today included Chris Tryba (10th - $25,035), former WPT champ Dwyte Pilgrim (16th - $17,524), Allie Prescott (18th - $13,769), Brandon Steven (32nd - $7,510) and Daniel Buzgon (40th - $7.510).
