Ronaldo Survives to Final 57; Etcheverry Leads PCA Main Event

FIFA World Player of the Year (3 times).

The Ballon' D'or (twice). Two World Cup titles.

What would a PCA Main Event championship look next to those in the trophy case? And how would Brazil react?

There's still a ways to go for it to become a reality but Brazilian football legend Ronaldo has done his part to keep the dream alive, bagging up 512,000 at the end of Day 3 today in the Bahamas.

The PokerStars Sport Star came into the event with little expectation for a deep run in a field this tough, but as champions do he's more than held his own to grab his first career live cash and possibly more.

He's not in the Top 10 but he's not far from it, making tomorrow's Day 4 live stream a must watch for poker and soccer fans alike.

While Ronaldo needed a double up late in the day with eights over AK to give him hope Argentina's Juan Etcheverry had more breathing room for his trip to Day 4.

Also bagging 1.1m was veteran American grinder Chance Kornuth. Rounding out the top 5 are Juan Martin Pastor (930,000) and Jim Collopy (889,000).
