Red-Hot Isildur1 Terrorizes High-Stakes Games for $560k
The King of Swing is trending up.
Viktor “Isildur1” Blom dominated the high-stakes games on both PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker yesterday to win $560k and bring his overall haul over the last couple weeks to an impressive $1.5+ million.
According to highstakesDB, Blom spread his winnings across a variety of games including Limit Omaha Hi-Lo, 2-7 Triple Draw and PLO.
Blom started his day by crushing the big FLO8 game on PokerStars that included Phil “RaiseOnce” Ivey, Alexander Kostritsyn, George Danzer, Patrick Antonius and Kyle Ray.
The Swede ended up walking away with $341k in profit. Ivey was one of the only other players to end with a significant profit as he picked up $186k.
Isildur1 Now Biggest Online Winner of 2015
Blom also recorded a nine-hour heads-up session against German Kagome Kagome. It was an incredibly swingy match but Blom eventually walked away with a $215k profit.
By the time every pot had been tallied Blom was up approximately $560k yesterday.
It’s a nice change of pace for Blom who got off to a miserable start in 2015 and promptly lost nearly $700k on Full Tilt Poker alone.
Thanks to last night and last week’s $1m-in-a-single-day score Blom’s officially dug himself out of that hole and looks to be up $1.1 million, which makes him the biggest overall winner this year just ahead of bbvisbadforme with $960k and Ben “Sauce1234” Sulsky with $773,000.
