Rafi Amit Soars to $277k Victory
Rafi Amit continued his amazing tear on PokerStars last night by winning nearly $300k.
Since August, Amit has won over $1 million and last night he passed Rui Cao as the biggest winner on PokerStars this year with $1.6 million in profit.
Amit logged on and played 1,219 hands of $200/$400 Pot-Limit Omaha. Amit played a mixture of heads-up against socutiesf and three-handed against Niki Jedlicka and socutiesf.
It didn’t really matter how many players there were, however, as Amit went ahead and thrashed everyone.
By the time the final pot had been tallied, Amit was up a total of $277k and was by far the biggest winner in the high stakes online games last night.
Online player socutiesf took the worst of it by dropping $167k but Jedlicka wasn’t far behind with $141k in losses.
Meanwhile noted pros JP Kelly and Ilari Sahamies took some serious damage last night as well. Kelly lost $82k while Sahamies dropped $80k and seems to be trending down over the last week.
Rounding out the top five biggest losers last night was another Finnish pro, Jens “Jeans89” Kyllonen, who lost $71k.
The exclamation mark-loving !P0krparty¡ joined Rafi Amit at the top of the online poker charts with $214k in profit. !P0krparty¡ was essentially inactive until July this year but he’s already riding a $100k profit since then.
Doncarignano took third place last night, although he was significantly behind !P0krparty¡ with only $83k in profit.
German Benny “toweliestar” Spindler continued his hot streak by winning $53k while ChichaGlisha picked up $49k for his efforts.
Sami “Lrslzk” Kelopuro just missed a place in the top five biggest winners but he did pick up $42k last night.
