Queen of Hearts Team plays for charity at WSOP
Dubbed the "Queen of Hearts Team," a group of the most famous of female poker pros will be playing in this year's World Series of Poker (WSOP) Ladies' Event for the benefit of two charities - the American Heart Association and the Nevada Cancer Institute.
Sponsored by the Poker Player's Alliance and captained by founder Lisa Tenner and actress Mimi Rogers, the Team has a number of big name pros committed to supporting the causes this year.
Jennifer Tilly (pictured) has signed on, as have poker notables Clonie Gowen, Isabelle Mercier, Vanessa Rousso, Jennifer Leigh, J.J. Liu, Mary Jones and Susie Isaacs, and they'll be joined by other well-known female celebrities, businesswomen and amateur poker champions.
Each of the team members will play in the WSOP Ladies No-Limit Hold'em Event June 10-11 and commit funds from any winnings to the Las Vegas office of the American Heart Association and the Nevada Cancer Institute.
