Quad threes win Sunday Million for Swede

The PokerStars.com Sunday Million brought out another big field this weekend, with nearly 6,700 players logging in to play. Swedish player Gurre outlasted them all, hitting quad threes on the final hand to take home over $187,000.

Now bookended by a Sunday Warm-Up tournament and a second-chance follow-up, the Sunday Million has always been a big draw. With another massive prize pool at stake, this weekend was no exception.

There was again talk of a deal before the final cards were played, but terms weren't reached, and Gurre had little to feel bad about when the quad threes came to give him the biggest cut.

Six of the final nine players were from the United States, with Sweden (Gurre), Norway (zio_slim) and Italy (Axabaxa) represented as well for some international flair.
