Veteran pros Mario Silvestri and Allie Prescott lead the chip counts heading into Day 2 of the main event at the World Series of Poker Circuit Regional Championship at Harrah's New Orleans.

With the first 16 levels in the books, only 70 of the 382 runners who put up the $1,600 buy-in are left with just online pro Silvestri (aka Pwnasaurus) and veteran grinder Prescott above 300k in chips.

Despite the ongoing WPT Championship in Las Vegas several pros still made the trip to New Orleans including Allen Kessler, Chad Brown, Adam "Roothlus" Levy, WSOP November Niner John Dolan, WSOPC kingpin Dwyte Pilgrim and rising WSOPC star Kyle Cartwright.

Of that group only Pilgrim and Levy managed to make it to Day 2. Pilgrim sits just behind the leaders with 160k chips and Levy is hanging on with just 38k.

The rest of the top 10 looks like this:

1 Mario Silvestri 371,500

2 Allie Prescott 304,000

3 Todd Wood 238,400

4 Brian Heptinstall 214,300

5 Matthew Waxman 213,400

6 Joshua Evans 204,300

7 Michael Traylor 196,300

8 Jacob Bazeley 196,100

9 Billy McBrayer 187,700

10 Jared Ingles 182,200

Total prize pool for the event is $550,060 with $121,017 reserved for the champion. The winner will also earn a WSOP Circuit gold ring and an automatic seat in the WSOP Circuit National Championship set to begin in Las Vegas May 27.

Two more days of play are left, starting at 2 p.m today in New Orleans.
