The second season of the Professional Poker Tour (PPT) has been delayed while World Poker Tour Enterprises, Inc. (WPTE) finds a broadcast outlet for the show. The first season is currently running on the Travel Channel which opted not to pick up the show for the next season.
Originally, the second season of the PPT was supposed to begin Sept. 11 during the Borgata Poker Open. It has now been postponed until Nov. 7 when it will debut at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn., during the WPT World Poker Finals.
From there, the schedule will continue as originally planned with the event at the Bellagio in Las Vegas starting Nov. 29 and the Commerce Casino event in Los Angeles starting Feb. 12. The PPT will return to the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa for the second season, but a future date hasn't been determined yet.
The PPT began broadcasting the first season on the Travel Channel in July. Instead of just showing the final table, the PPT dedicates each episode to a quarter of the tournament in order to show how the best poker players in the world reach the final table.
