PokerTek signs six new contracts
By Sarah Polson
PokerTek Inc., the maker of the fully-automated PokerPro poker tables, signed six new contracts to install tables in casinos in Michigan, Arkansas, London, Australia and Italy. Multiple tables are expected to be installed in the six new locations by the end of the year.
"Casino operators around the world are recognizing that automated poker delivers both increased player satisfaction and improved poker room economics," said Lou White, PokerTek CEO.
PokerPro tables will be installed in Greektown Casino in Detroit, Mich.; Southland Greyhound Park in West Memphis, Ark.; Crown Casino in Australia; Aspers Newcastle Casino and Ladbrokes Sports Bar & Casino in London; and Casino di Venezia in Venice, Italy.
"We are excited to add these casinos in various geographical areas to our growing customer base," White said. "Our customers are taking advantage of our new regulatory approvals from both GLI and the State of Michigan and we are enthusiastic about making them successful with automated poker."
PokerPro tables are a fully automated, dealer-less Texas Hold'em poker table meant to increase the speed of play at casinos as well as decrease the costs for the casinos.
