PokerTek distributed to a bar near you

Go heads-up WSOP style with PokerTek.
By Erin Warner
Electronic table maker PokerTek has landed several distribution deals to market its new heads-up arcade-style Hold'em game.
The company's Heads-Up Challenge World Series of Poker Edition allows players to go one-on-one as they play Texas Hold'em poker just for the fun of it with no money on the line.
PokerTek has linked themselves with leaders in the amusement industry, signing deals with domestic distributors American Vending Sales, Betson Distributing, Brady Distributing Company, C.A. Robinson & Co., Greater Southern Distributing, H.A. Franz and Co., Lieberman Companies, Mountain Coin Distributing and Shaffer Distributing Company.
To market Heads-Up Challenge, PokerTek researched the top distributors, signing with the domestic companies and made inroads with international firms, said the group's president, James Crawford.
In addition to the Heads-Up Challenge, PokerTek also designs full poker tables to speed up the game and cut costs for casinos by eliminating the dealer, cards and chips. Instead, play is conducted on screens built in to the table.
"This product is the most innovative I've seen introduced to the industry in years," American Amusement Machine Association chairman Jon Brady said.
"With the popularity of poker and the incredible design of this game, we are anxious to get it out to our customers and rejuvenate the market. This product is truly a breath of fresh air."
