PokerStars.com continues to be the place to go on Sundays, especially with the added bonus of the final Ocean's 13 Charity Tournament this past weekend. Not only did the poker site hand out more than $1 million in prizes, the charity tournament winner took home a PokerStars.com felt signed by the movie's cast members.
It took five hours to play out the charity tournament, but in the end, the more than 250 person field was whittled down to one - BlueLabel11.
Sunday's event was the third in a series of tournaments at PokerStars.com organized to help raise money for Not On Our Watch, a charity aimed at reducing the suffering in Darfur, Sudan.
The organization was started by some of Ocean's 13's stars: Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Don Cheadle, Matt Damon and Jerry Weintraub. They also showed their support during a tournament in Las Vegas, Ante Up for Africa.
Since the online tournaments have kicked off on PokerStars.com, players at the site have donated more than $1 million to the Darfur cause. Players have also won trips to the Los Angeles premier of Ocean's 13 and now a one-of-a-kind autographed felt.
BlueLabel11 wasn't the only online player who went away happy on Sunday. With the Sunday Warm-Up the Sunday Millions and the High Stakes Showdown, three players won thousands of dollars each to add to their bankrolls.
