PokerStars.com awards 220 WSOP seats

PokerStars.com is giving 220 online poker players a shot at a World Series of Poker championship bracelet after awarding players seats to the Main Event Sunday night in its Mega Satellite.

The Mega Satellite had guaranteed at least 150 seats would be awarded for the Main Event, but the turn-out was large enough to boost that to 220.

Each player will be awarded a $12,000 prize package that includes the $10,000 buy-in for the WSOP Main Event plus money for travel, accommodations and more.

PokerStars.com doesn't just let it go at that though. They're also going to reward players who win their way to the WSOP if they do well in the Main Event as well.

If a PokerStars.com player makes it to the final table, he will also get an extra $100,000 bonus from the poker site. Make it to second or third place and that bonus gets boosted to $250,000.

The ultimate, of course, will be a bonus for winning the event. Even though the Main Event is likely to have another stellar payout, if it's a PokerStars.com player that wins, he'll receive an additional $1 million from the poker site.
