PokerStars.com adds Sunday warm-up tournament

By: Erin Warner

PokerStars.com has your Sunday planned. If you've already cleared your schedule for this weekend's Sunday Million and its follow-up second-chance tournament, make a little extra room PokerStars.com's latest venture - the Sunday Warm-Up.

The Warm-Up event is a $215 No-Limit Hold'em freeze-out designed to prepare players for the big Sunday Million tournament. And because the new addition takes place at 12:45 p.m. (EST), European competitors can play in a major event without staying up past their bedtime.

PokerStars.com decided to open the new event following the success of the Sunday Million and second-chance tournaments. As a regular weekly event, the Sunday Million sees average player fields of more than 6,500 people and prize pools of more than $1.3 million.

Satellites for the Sunday Warm-Up started Monday and continue to run throughout the week. The tournament begins this weekend at 12:45 p.m. (EST) under the Tourney/Special tab in your PokerStars.com lobby.
