PokerStars upgrades software

Aesthetic changes and functionality upgrades greeted PokerStars players when they logged into the software this past Friday, December 16. Added to enhance the playing experience of its loyal players, PokerStars' new lobby includes new buttons, buy-in filters, and customizable sorting options.

The new buttons allow players looking for a ring game to "Hide full tables," while players looking for tournaments see the buttons read "Show registering/upcoming only." Pressing these buttons enables players to filter out the full tables or already-active tournaments. After it is pressed, only ring games with open seats or tournaments that are still registering players will be displayed in the lobby.

Players interested in competing in the perfect Sit & Go are now required to only enter the Sit & Go lobby in order to find what they are looking for. There, players will discover a new list of options with choices for 'All,' 'High,' 'Medium,' 'Low,' 'Micro,' 'Re-buy,' or 'Turbo' buy-ins. Players can scroll their mouse over each of the tabs in order to see what dollar amount each level represents. Regular tournament lobbies and Hold'em ring game lobbies will also give you the option of filtering according to buy-in.

Customizable sorting options allows players who right-click on the Header Bar (Game, Limit, ID, etc.) to open a new window where they will be able to customize their sorting options - meaning a player can sort the games in any way they want.
