PokerStars to Launch Balkan Festival
PokerStars is once again expanding its global presence with a new tournament scheduled to take place in Bulgaria.
The Inaugural PokerStars Balkan Poker Festival is scheduled for Sept. 2-5, 2010, at the Grand Hotel & Casino International at Golden Sands resort in Bulgaria, near Varna.
The €990 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em tournament is expected to draw a total of 200 players from across Europe. The winner will also receive a €5,300 buy-in to EPT Prague.
The five-star Golden Sands Resort is located 17 kilometers north of Varna and right on the shore of the picturesque Black Sea. The hotel is known for its fantastic sea views, premium bars and the biggest poker room in Bulgaria.
Some of PokerStars smaller tours continue to garner big numbers as last month William Thorson outlasted 221 players to win the Baltic Poker Festival for €83,823.
Satellites for the Balkan Poker Festival are currently running on PokerStars in a variety of games and buy-in levels.
