PokerStars restricts player database information
By Murat Sahan - TerribleTurk
Recently PokerStars announced that they no longer allows sites to give out player profitability information about their clients without the clear consent of the players.
Players have the option to completely refrain from having any information about them displayed by transferring 1¢ to the service operators PokerStars account.
A sum which must be returned within five days to the player to confirm that the service operator has understood the whishes of the player.
The player can also opt to allow the service operator to show all data about them by sending 3¢. A sum that also must be returned within the same time frame.
The sums are different to differentiate between the two options.
This will probably mean that "sharks" will have one less tool to their disposal since there probably will be very few loosing players that will actively choose to disclose statistics about themselves.
