2010 WSOP Main Event winner Jonathan Duhamel is officially joining Team PokerStars Pro.

The French-Canadian, who took the chip lead into the 2010 WSOP Main Event final table, now finds himself on the same team as stars such as Daniel Negreanu, Chris Moneymaker and Liv Boeree.

“It’s a dream come true,” he said.

PokerStars has now signed three consecutive world champions in Duhamel, Joe Cada and Peter Eastgate.

Duhamel actually had a string of cashes before he made Main Event final table, including 15th place in a $2,500 WSOP event and was the 2008 EPT Prague final table bubble boy.

He first gained notoriety at the Main Event when he laid a vicious bad beat on Matt Affleck. Duhamel rivered a straight to crack Affleck’s aces to take the overwhelming chip lead.

Despite his good fortune in the hand, Duhamel played a strong game at the final table which saw him outlast experienced pros like Michael Mizrachi and John Racener.

Since winning the Main Event, Duhamel has yet to cash in a major tournament, but it’s a streak he doesn’t see lasting long.

“I want to be playing the biggest tournaments in the world,” said Duhamel. “I’m going to be doing my best to pull off another big score.”
