Daniel Negreanu is one of the world's most familiar professional poker players, but it's not often the average player gets a chance to meet him other than facing off across the table from him at major poker tournaments around the world.

He'll be a lot more accessible to players at an upcoming "Weekend with Daniel Negreanu" poker training seminar. It costs $15,000 to participate, but PokerListings players have an opportunity to go for free.

PokerStars is offering PokerListings players an exclusive freeroll that will award the winner the trip to Las Vegas for the seminar, a package worth $17,000.

All it takes to qualify is to have signed up at PokerStars through any of the poker site's links on and then collect 100 Frequent Player Points during the month of June.

The freeroll will take place July 12 at 3 p.m. EST, and Negreanu will also participate, giving the qualifiers a chance to play against him for free and perhaps win the $1,000 bounty for knocking him out of the tournament.

PokerStars is also adding an additional $2,000 prize pool to spread from position two on down.

The winner will be whisked away to Las Vegas Aug. 8-10 for a weekend that includes a barbecue at Negreanu's Las Vegas home on the first night in town, plus a VIP night on the town visiting some of the city's top nightclubs.

Over the course of the two days of the seminar, Negreanu will lead sessions designed to improve players' poker games, both from a strategic and tactical standpoint. Seminar topics range from pot odds and implied odds to bluffing, reading opponents and tournament strategy.

In addition to the group seminars, the participants will be split into two groups to participate in live workshops, working with Negreanu at the poker tables.

During the workshops, Negreanu will be able to assess each player's game, and identify individual weaknesses and help correct them.

The final day of the" Weekend with Daniel Negreanu" will be a private, 18-person poker tournament to let the participants put their newly learned skills to the test.

Along with the freeroll for the "Weekend with Daniel Negreanu," PokerStars has plenty of other promotions to offer PokerListings players.

PokerListings players who earn 500 FPPs between June 1-30 will earn entry into an exclusive $10,000 Latin American Poker Tour Uruguay satellite at the PokerStars. The tournament will send a player to the Uruguay event taking place Aug. 7-9. The satellite is scheduled for July 19 at 3 p.m. EST.

For players who earn 1,000 FPPs during that same June time period, there is an exclusive $10,000 cash freeroll for players as well. The freeroll is scheduled for July 26 at 3 p.m. EST.

There are still four freerolls left at PokerStars as well that will be awarding World Series of Poker* prize packages to PokerListings players.

On Saturday, the poker site will host an exclusive freeroll open to all real- and play-money PokerListings players with absolutely no qualification requirements. The freeroll starts at 3 p.m. and will award the winner a $12,500 WSOP prize package.

There will also be a WSOP freeroll June 8 for PokerListings players who earned 100 FPPS during May, June 14 for players who earned 500 FPPs in May, and June 15 for players who earned 1,000 FPPs in May.
