PokerStars breaks more records with PCA

It appears that PokerStars was just getting warmed up with record breaking when it accomplished a new world record a few weekends ago: the poker site has now set more new records with its PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.

With 1,347 players heading to the Bahamas for the live event this week, the Caribbean Adventure became the largest live poker tournament ever held outside of Las Vegas.

The $10,000 main event of the PCA began on Monday and runs through Saturday. There were 735 players who won their seats in the event through Alex Kravchenko, Vicky Coren, Lee Nelson, Tom McEvoy were there to represent the online poker site on Day 1a of the tournament Monday.

Day 1b on Tuesday saw Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Dario Minieri, Peter Eastgate, Humberto Brenes, Chris Moneymaker and other notables from PokerStars take to the tables.

A few of the Team PokerStars Pros made it into Day 2, but not many would be around long enough to see the money bubble burst that day. Greenstein was one of the lucky few to make it into the money, and Coren and Eastgate both made it into Day 3 to play today.

As the last remaining World Series of Poker Main Event Champion left in play, Eastgate made a good run at the PCA, but was unable to turn it into another win. Check out his video interview after he busted in the PokerListings TV section.

Play has ended for the day with 32 contestants standing. It appears that Kevin Saul leads the pack going into Day 4 tomorrow.

If you'd like to check out the action as they play down to the final table on Friday and read up on what's gone down so far, head to the Live Tournaments section.
