PokerRoom.com lets Swedish players in

Martin de Knijff

By Erik Sylven

Good news for Martin De Knijff, Erik Sagstrom, Mats Rahmn, and Anders Henriksson: PokerRoom.com has opened its doors to players from Sweden.

PokerRoom.com was created in 1999 by professional Swedish poker players and students Oskar Hörnell and Claes Lidell.

They decided, however, for legal reasons it would be best to bar players from their home country from playing on the site.

Now the ban has been lifted, and all Swedes have a new place to test their skills against online poker players from other countries, so maybe we'll see De Knijff, Sagstrom, Rahmn, and Henriksson joining their countrymen at PokerRoom.com's tables in the near future.

PokerRoom is part of the Ongame network which has received a lot of praise for its software. The no-download option optimized for players using a Mac computer is considered to be one of the best on the market.
