Very often poker is all-too serious. Players sit silently at the table, diligently moving chips around.
Things don't have to be that way, though. In our Video(s) of the Week this week we present you with a player who has an incredibly wide range – of antics.
We are “Live at the Bike” in Los Angeles, a show which literally gives almost everybody the chance to get live streamed. Every week there’s a game with relatively low blinds. In this video they’re playing $2/$5 NLHE with stacks of $300 to $1,000.
The table is amateurs only and one of them is Kai “StickyRice1” McMinn, a player who has gained some popularity by streaming on Twitch and who’s built up a nice bankroll playing on Bovada.
€130 with 9-5o
The video is about 12 minutes long and totally worth watching every bit. Abe Limon, one of the commentators, loses his composure several times and finds it increasingly hard to get it back.
At minute eight he eventually fails. StickyRice1 has just made a rebuy and then decides to start a war with 9-5o. A war that escalates both because of the board and ... let’s say for zoological reasons.
At the end of the hand Limon is over the moon, StickyRice1 has the money and his opponent is asking himself what just happened.
Did you like that video? Well, even if you didn’t, we’re pretty sure you couldn’t stop watching. In our bonus video you can watch one of the hands where our hero has built up his bankroll online. Have you ever seen a flopped full house celebrated more emphatically?
