The big deal at the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) series at Caesars Indiana is the $5,000 Championship final set to start Wednesday.
But the two latest preliminary event winners, John "Poker Trucker" Garcia and Toby Clark, aren't waiting to make their big splash, winning preliminary Events 3 or 4 respectively over the last two days.
Garcia, a former accountant-turned-trucker who earned his nickname criss-crossing the country for poker tournaments, was the first of the two to cash, taking out Justin "Rabbit" Stigger in Event 3, $300+$40 No-Limit Hold'em.
With Stigger down to about $80,000 and in the big blind, Garcia made a blind all-in bet with As-3d. Stigger, with pocket eights, made the call.
The flop came with an ace, and it was all over. Garcia took $39,399 for the win.
Event 4 lacked some of the drama, with a 30-minute negotiation between the final two - Chris McMillian and Toby Clark - resulting in Clark actually collecting $10,000 less despite the championship ring, title and $5,150 seat in the main event.
But Clark came out pleased with the result after a flopped two pair finished the heads-up match after 10 hands, scoring him $36,968.
The official final table results for the two events follow below:
Event 3 - $300+$40 No-Limit Hold'em
Event 4 - $500+$50 No-Limit Hold'em
