'Poker Trucker' rolls over 'Rabbit' in Indiana

The big deal, officially, at the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) series at Caesars Indiana is the $5,000 Championship final, set to start Wednesday. But don't tell that to the two latest preliminary event winners, John "Poker Trucker" Garcia and Toby Clark; putting $30k-plus in your pocket is a big deal however you slice it.

Almost 800 other players likely would have felt the same had they taken the title and cash themselves in either Events 3 or 4 at WSOPC Indiana, $300+$40 and $500+$50 No-Limit Hold'em events respectively.

"Poker Trucker" Garcia, a former accountant turned trucker who earned his nickname criss-crossing the country for poker tournaments, was the first of the two to cash, taking out Justin "Rabbit" Stigger in Event 3.

And he did it with a fine sense of the dramatic - with Stigger down to about $80,000 and in the big blind, Garcia made a blind all-in bet with As-3d. Stigger, with pocket eights, made the call.

The flop came with an ace and it was all over, with Garcia taking $39,399 for the win.

Event 4 lacked some of the drama, with a 30-minute negotiation between the final two - Chris McMillian and Toby Clark - resulting in Clark actually collecting $10,000 less despite the championship ring, title and $5,150 seat in the main event.

But Clark was nonetheless extremely pleased with the result, after a flopped two pair finished the heads-up match after 10 hands, scoring him $36,968.
