The Heartland Poker Tour (HPT) has signed Poker Royalty as their exclusive marketing representative. The firm will work with HPT in all areas of their business to develop the American tour.
"We're very pleased about our newly formed relationship with Poker Royalty. Without question, Poker Royalty is highly respected in the poker world, and they've done a tremendous job melding poker and corporate America." said Todd Anderson, HPT general partner.
The HPT, which was first initiated in early 2005, is a series of 10 poker events that are recorded and air as a one-hour episode each week in the United States. As of July 1, the tour is available nationwide through broadcast, cable and satellite television in more than 45 million households spanning the country.
According to the HPT site, tour founders Todd Anderson and Greg Lang consider the tour to be the "minor leagues" of poker with major league potential.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for a 'dot net' poker site because of the tremendous exposure the Heartland Poker Tour provides on cable, network and satellite television, as well as their unique ability to build a database and acquire new players," said James Sullivan, Poker Royalty executive vice president.
