There's still time for poker players to secure a seat for the 2006 William Hill Poker Grand Prix, which has a guaranteed £500,000 prize pool this year, taking place Oct. 16 through 24. For those who weren't issued an invitation for the limited £6,000 buy-in event, there are two online and two offline satellite events left to win a seat.
There are only 56 exclusive seats in the William Hill Poker Grand Prix with 42 going to invited professional players who will buy in directly. The remaining seats were made available through online and offline qualifying events.
One of the remaining offline qualifying satellite events is today at the Fitzwilliam Card Club in Dublin, Ireland. This €150, re-buy tournament starts at 8 p.m. and is limited to 150 people. The last offline satellite will take place Sept. 27 at the Broadway Casino in Birmingham, England, and is a €100 buy-in tournament.
The last four online seats will be offered through two tournaments. The first takes place Sunday and the last will be Sept. 24. Both have a buy-in of £120 plus £10 or players may try to win a seat into the satellite via the daily sub-satellites whose buy-ins range from £2 to £33.
Winners from the online and offline tournaments will receive the £6,000 buy-in for the Grand Prix as well as money for travel expenses and hotel accommodations.
