About Luke Schwartz

Luke Schwartz
Name Luke Schwartz
Birth Place London , UK

Luke "__FullFlush1__" Schwartz made a whale-size splash in the world of online poker when he started making headlines in early 2009.

His rise to online poker fame was equally entertaining and controversial. Using a loose/aggressive style of play combined with an endless barrage of verbal ammunition he attacked well-known pros like Tom Dwan, Di Dang and Hac Dang with distain and condescension.

His verbal tirades were so over the top that he quickly earned himself a chat ban on Full Tilt Poker. One of his most famous insults was referring to Dwan as "durrrr-balls." He also called Phil Galfond's group of friends as "OMGWeNerds" on more than one occasion.

During an interview at the 2008 EPT Prague tournament Schwartz mentioned that he, "…likes to wind players up. I get bored looking at all these depressing faces… I've got to bring a bit of life to this game."

Although some players were quick to discount Schwartz as immature the Londoner went on a $1 million run in No-Limit Hold'em in the spring of 2009. Surprisingly a great deal of those profits came from uber-rounder Dwan.

Schwartz's accolades have come primarily from his success as a high stakes cash game player on Betfair and other poker sites. He has around $27,000 in live tournament earnings with a runner-up finish in the Main Event of the 2005 Harbour Lights Poker Festival in Brighton for just over $19,000.

Regardless of where his poker career takes him and no matter how long he can sustain his rise, Schwartz has definitely made himself a target for the rest of his playing days and the bull's-eye is not difficult to spot - in fact, it appears to be growing. The scary part? He seems to like it that way.
