About Burt Boutin

Burt Boutin
Name Burt Boutin
Current Residence Las Vegas Nev.
Birth Place Penn.

Burt Boutin's second gold bracelet win at the 2007 World Series of Poker not only afforded him two-time champion status, it also bumped him into the tournament's exclusive millionaire club.

The Henderson, Nev., man became the 77th WSOP millionaire after taking in more than $1 million worth of cashes at the tournament since his first in 2001.

It was the same year he won his first bracelet - and $193,00 - in $2,000 Pot-Limit Hold'em. He’s been collecting decent cashes since, the most impressive of which came at his two WSOP final table appearances, both in Pot-Limit Hold'em. In 2005, Burton busted in ninth at the $5,000 event but finished fifth in the $1,500 version the following year.

Combined with his $825,956 payday for his $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha victory at the 2007 Series, and Boutin's name was jotted down in the history books. And, as he told PokerListings.com that same year, it helped make his second victory sweeter than the last.

"The field was a lot tougher, and like I tell everybody it's validating," Boutin said. "When you win two, it means you're a real poker player. And this is probably the third most prestigious event in the World Series."

The fact that his rival, David "Devilfish" Ulliott – whom he had defeated in heads-up play to win his first bracelet - was knocked out in the process probably didn't hurt either.

But poker isn't the only thing driving Boutin's life. Originally from Pennsylvania, Boutin now makes his home in Las Vegas, and works as a highly successful stock trader when he's not on the felt. Boutin has three children.
